<h3 id="heap">Heap size on 64-bit architectures</h3>
<p>
On 64-bit architectures only, the maximum heap size has been enlarged substantially,
from a few gigabytes to several tens of gigabytes.
(The exact details depend on the system and may change.)
</p>
